The Poisoned 041: Avalanche Astraea of Hobby Star

Whyyyyy!! D:
I haven't raised any suitable amount to get a new kit and Hobby Star is starting to kick things off with another model.

It was a wise decision for them to release a new model based from their first Avalanche Exia. They just need to change and produce fewer sprue frames giving them at least a huge cut in expenses.

And if you guys are aware with the GN Drive gimmick they featured back then, then it is possible to see that same gimmick here. I hope they give us new updates especially to the finished model.

PS- This is the Astraea Type-F. Sorry i forgot to add the "Type-F" and it might cause some misleading info since the original Astraea is white. :/

UPDATE: 2018-01-18

SamuelDecal posted these images just an hour ago and thanks to "Gunpla Builder" for pinging me with the news.

Me and Gunpla Builder noticed that they will include the Exia's head but in the same color of Astraea. Another thing I noticed is that the last image feature all the stuff you can get for the model but only the Avalanche armor for shoulder isn't separated. If this is the case, then it's possible that both Hobby Star's Exia and Astraea can still be converted to the regular unit but you will need a regular shoulder armor to do that.

Also, I just hope that this isn't the final action base or pedestal for Astraea. Both mobile suits may look similar but I don't think it's right to place the word "Exia" on its pedestal. Still, the package looks great because you have a lot of armaments aside from the Avalanche attachment.

  1. Ayos ah. Pandagdag na naman sa mga red colored kits ko :-p

Kaso mukhang recycle molds / recolor lang ni Avalanche

    1. Yep recolor nga lang.. pero wise marketing strategy ginawa nila.
Same tactics nung naglabas si Dragon Momoko ng Testament Gundam and then nilabas nila after yung Astray Outframe D na based sa same molding. :)

    1. Even if it's already out in the market, I don't think I will be able to review it soon. :/

I don't have a job anymore so I don't have any extra funds to get a new kit.
