First of all, let me be clear that there won't be any WoL or Wings of Light (im confused which one uses the Wing of the Skies term). Yes - NO WING EFFECTS! That was a huge mistake already made by Daban. It's like letting Dragon Momoko get their upper hand by releasing not just the WoL for the SF but also for Destiny. (Rumors says the 1st batch will only get these extra items)
Looking at the images, it seems the parts are coated with the same finish like that of Unicorn HD color. The problem however is that they are not undergated. I checked the gold runners and they are not undergated as well which is a huge bummer.

Hi, any news on how much or when this kit will arrive in the Philippines? An online shop priced this kit similar to Dragon Momoko's Destiny ver MB which I got from Divisoria at P1300 so I'm assuming it will be around that price range.
ReplyDeleteThe same shop also priced the Dragon Momoko Strike Freedom ver MB at around P2K (converted/adjusted), so the price alone is a big deal for someone watching their budget like me.
There are no news yet regarding date of its arrival. Also, the P1300 might change to P1500 or more. I won't be so confident to order quickly just to get in the same "hype" as the others. Better wait than sorry right? ;)

Thank you for the updates. I don't know if it's luck or lack thereof, I missed out on the Dragon Momoko kit (one online seller wasn't honest after guaranteeing I get one), but Daban's plan on adding the effects parts is a good news indeed.
DeleteAnd the DM effects fit on the Daban kit is not surprising but is quite a welcome surprise. Now I don't have to look for the DM kit and just wait for it to be available.

when it comes to details DABAN is the winner but when it comes to effects and accessories DM owned it. Im just kinda disappointed that daban didn't include any effects, even the beam saber effect is just so ordinary. But I'll go for daban anyway.. heck I'll go for both hahahaha

DeleteAt first we don't believed the rumor, but after noticing the sudden price change from other sellers from P1300 to P1700 and above, it was certain that the Wings of Light for SF's Daban is true. I kept asking from my colleagues if this was no joke and they said that it will be included in the kit.
Better wait.. :)
This is perhaps daban's best kit for me, there is so much detail. I am currently buikding it and so far everything fits well perfectly.

ReplyDeleteHello sir. Pede kayo mag check dun sa manual if meron sya images. Karaniwan na makukuha mong guide is yung mga main markings/logos lang and wala msaydo sa caution or warning markings. If wala masyadong images doon sa manual, better refer na lang dun sa manual ng MG SF kahit sa FBM. Pede din gamitin as guide yung manual ng PG SF.

ReplyDeleteHello sir. Hindi po talaga nabe-bend yun basta basta. Ilagay nyo po muna yung portion na ibebend sa hot water (wag boiling). Nakalimutan ko na ilang minuto peor ganun ginawa ko sa SF FBM dahil same sila ng rods.
DeleteDi kagaya sa Momoko, lumamang sila dahil parang mechanical rods yun. Yung same idea ng Nu ver ka. Not sure pero alam ko ganun.

ReplyDeleteI was tagged by my Gunpla Spy yesterday about Daban Model's boxart for the WoL. I talked to the seller and I think he is Malaysian.
There's some bad news and some good news though about our conversation. :/
The good news is that and the first and second batch will have the WoL for free.
The bad news is that it will also follow Momoko's footsteps and sell the WoL (Wings of Light) as a separate purchase.
Since he is Malaysian, there's some parts of his phrases that can be misunderstood.
I have questions now and I am thinking a lot last night. These questions were based from our conversation. I can't blame him if he's English isn't good since mine isn't that good either.
1. Will Daban Model continuously sell the kit but will also sell separate purchase of the WoL pack?
2. They said the first batch will get the free WoL but that didn't happened. Do they mean first ACTUAL batch from factory will have the WoL (counting that as 2nd batch in Philippines)?

Tanung ko po udated po ung price 1500 destiny, 1600 yung strike freedom na d kasma yung wings of light dun po sa pinas? Nasa New York po kasi ako e mahal po dito kahit Bootleg MB destiny $200 at $240 yung MB strike freedom at wala pang WOL dito. Pag uwi ku sana bibili ako dun sa pinas. Salamat po ^__^
ReplyDeleteFirst is Daban ba yung sinasabi mong SF or sa Momoko? Pero kahit alin man na brand, sa tingin ko tama lang yung price kasi ang ginawa nila is magiging separated purchase na yung mga WoL. So tataas pa din yung price pag binili yung set. Nasa seller na din if ibenta nya ng mataas or mababa yung set [Unit+wol] na yun.

I was able to buy the Daban kit for 1200 here in Baguio.. although some of the shops i visited was selling it for 1800.. i was lucky to see the item in one of the shops with a seller who is not so familiar with it... But since my sister gave me a Destiny Heine as a gift, it just felt lacking if you dont have the stand for it which unfortunately is not yet sold separately at this moment.. I was somehow drawn to purchase the DM SF just soni can get the expansion effects and the stand for Destiny... my dillema now is what to do with the 2 SF model kit.. wonder who among the two have a better build? what color scheme should i do with the other SF....?

ReplyDeleteHello sir, sensya na and late po response ko. Weel, same naman halos price nila dun sa Divi pero not sure ako if nagbago na. Kunin mo yung may WoL pero ask ka sa ibang selelrs. May mga sellers kasi na binebenta nila as separate yung WoL, and yung ibang sellers naman kung same price kuha nila sa factory or source, ganun din bigay nila.

ReplyDeleteI haven't tried it yet but I think it's possible. You see, a friend posted that the Dragon Momoko wing effect can be attached to Daban Model perfectly. So if you do it the other way around, there won't be any problems I guess.

DeleteNung una, peperahan daw para indi sila mapasara. Pero nag fail so sarado na raw.
Then next na news buhay pa rin yung DM pero matatagalan lang sa pag release ng ABF 3rd. Tapos after a few days nag post si samueldecal na sarado na raw yung DM.
Then ang last update na nareceive ko is buhay pa rin si DM pero lilipat lang ng location (not sure if magchange sila ng name).
Nalaman ko rin sa isa pang fellow builder na hindi naman talaga sa China ang main branch nila so basically may other branches pa sila aside sa China (yung naipasara). So possible na mas appropriate yung solution na change lang sila gn location.
Buti na lang hindi sila nagsara, kasi ok naman ung quality ng produkto nila tsaka mura pa, nakakahinayang lang talaga kung natuluyan magsara ang DM.
